Shanghai Government Scholarship is fully funded Scholarship for all international students. The main purpose of this scholarship is to enhance the international students in Shanghai Province. And it encourages more and more international students and scholars every year. All the programs for Undergraduate students are in Chinese so they have to study one year for HSK after that they will Start their Major and for Master and PhD there is no HSK tests and Mostly Majors are in English but it depends on university that which majors are in English and which are in Chinese. Shanghai Ocean University offers all majors in English for Master and PhD and for undergraduate students all the majors are in Chinese. Admissions in 2021 for September intake are open in Shanghai Ocean University and if you want to study in Shanghai Province and in Shanghai Ocean University then don’t wait apply as soon as possible.

2. Age limit for Bachelor is 25 and for Master is 35 and for Ph.D. is 40 Years
3. You Can Apply with English Proficiency Certificate ( ielts is not Mandatory )

Application Procedure

1. First of all, you have to fill Shanghai Government Scholarship online Application Form and upload all required documents
2. After that, you have to fill Shanghai Ocean University online Portal and upload all the required documents on Shanghai Ocean University online Portal
3. Pay Application fee 400 RMB (You can Pay online or Bank Transfer)
4. Result will be announced at the end June or start of July 2021

Required Documents

1. Fill Shanghai Government Scholarship Application form
2. Fill Shanghai Ocean University online Portal and Upload all required Documents with SGS Downloaded form
3. Copy of Highest Diploma (notarized copy) if you are in last Semester then provide hope Certificate
4. Copy of highest degree transcripts (notarized copy)
5. Study plan no less then 200 words for Undergraduates and 800 words for Master and 1500 words for PhD.
6. Two Recommendation Letters
7. Passport copy
8. Physical Examination form
9. English Proficiency Certificate ( ielts is not mandatory ) for English taught program and for Chinese taught program you have to provide HSK Certificate
10. No criminal record Certificate
11. Acceptance Latter (its optional)
12. Other Supporting Documents like awards certificates, Thesis etc.
13. Self-Introductory Video, and video should not exceed 5 minutes and it include your personality, hobbies, Academic Performance and awards, and other like why you want to study in china, and what are the contribution you will made for china and you have to send this Self-Introductory video on Shanghai Ocean University Portal
